Congressional committee rejects SAFE Banking Act

The SAFE Banking Act will not be included in a broader economic development bill being considered in Congress. The SAFE Banking Act would have made banking more accessible for cannabis businesses and had the support of the Arkansas cannabis and banking industries. Supporters of the bill say it is not dead and efforts continue to pass cannabis banking legislation.
