State Supreme Court airs grievances against marijuana commission June 15, 2022 By Griffin Coop Earlier this month, the state Supreme Court reversed and dismissed a case over dispensary licenses in favor of the state Medical Marijuana Commission. A dissenting opinion authored by associate justice Courtney Hudson, and joined by associate justice Robin Wynne, aired some of the court’s frustrations with the commission’s “refusal to follow its constitutional mandate.” Kyle Massey digs into the issue today for Arkansas Business: “Here we go again,” began the stark dissent to an Arkansas Supreme Court ruling early this month. “We are wrestling with another legal conflict involving the Medical Marijuana Commission (MMC) and its refusal to follow its constitutional mandate.”
