September sales near $24 million, up slightly from August October 7, 2022 By Griffin Coop Medical marijuana patients in Arkansas spent nearly $24 million to purchase 4,571 pounds of product at the state’s 38 dispensaries last month, according to data from the state Department of Finance and Administration. The $23.9 million in sales last month is up slightly from the $23.27 million in sales in August when customers bought 4,527 pounds of product. Natural Relief Dispensary of Sherwood was, once again, the highest-selling dispensary, with 431 pounds sold. They’re followed by Suite 443 of Hot Springs, with 407 pounds sold. The state also reported 92,035 active patient cards. From the Department of Finance and Administration: Medical marijuana patients spent approximately $24 million ($23.9 million) in September at the state’s 38 dispensaries to obtain 4,571 pounds. Natural Relief Dispensary (Sherwood) had the largest month with 431 pounds sold while Suite 443 (Hot Springs) followed with 407 pounds. The Arkansas Department of Health reports 92,035 active patient cards. Eighteen dispensaries sold more than 100 pounds for the month. Quote Regarding Sales “Patients spent approximately $800,000 daily in September on medical marijuana purchases, “ said Scott Hardin, spokesperson for the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration. “Additionally, 4,571 pounds is the largest month for sales in 2022. Through the first nine months of 2022, patients have spent $205 million to obtain 36,600 pounds of medical marijuana.
