Medical Marijuana Commission changes ownership form, requires 21 days notice for agenda August 19, 2022 By Griffin Coop Marijuana businesses requesting a change of ownership will have to submit the proper documents at least 21 days in advance after state regulators approved a new form at last week’s commission meeting. The new language on the Medical Marijuana Commission’s Transfer of Ownership Application was unanimously approved by the commission last Thursday. Changes reflect practices that were already in place but make them official by putting them in writing, commission spokesman Scott Hardin said. “While the Commission previously publicly stated all documents should be submitted at least 14 days prior to a meeting (in order to make the agenda), that change had not been formally made to the change of ownership actual application,” Hardin said via email. “As a result, (the Alcoholic Beverage Control Division) made that change to the application along with additional small adjustments to reflect the Commission’s current requirements.” The form says applicants must submit all documents “21 days before a scheduled meeting in case reviewing staff has questions or requires additional documentation.” All information and documents must be submitted before an item will be placed on the agenda, including “all executed management agreements,” the form states. No exceptions will be made, it says.
