Good Day Farm adds Monticello dispensary, Acanza withdraws request to move September 9, 2022 By Griffin Coop Good Day Farm is expanding its collection of dispensaries to Monticello after the owner of a South Arkansas dispensary notified state regulators Thursday that their business will be known as Good Day Farm Dispensary Monticello. The dispensary, previously known as GreenLight Monticello, will be the fourth Good Day outlet in the state after Good Day Farm Van Buren, Good Day Farm Texarkana and Berner’s by Good Day Farm in Little Rock. Good Day Farm also operates a cultivation facility in Pine Bluff, in addition to operations in Louisiana and Missouri. Last month, the state Medical Marijuana Commission approved TJ Patterson’s purchase of the Monticello dispensary from Nikki Hood, Andrew Hood and Brent Gray.  The commission was also notified that Fort Cannabis dispensary in Fort Smith will be changing its name to The Greenery. Name changes do not require commission approval, only notification. In other business, the commission approved Acanza dispensary’s request to withdraw its request to change locations. In June, the commission approved the dispensary’s request to move about two miles from its location at 2733 McConnell Ave. in Fayetteville to 1475 N. Drake St. in Fayetteville, were it was constructing a new space. Last month, the commission approved a change of ownership for Acanza, which is owned by Fayetteville HOH Investments LLC. The corporation is owned by 41 individuals, with the largest share being owned by Cathy Mackey at 24.4%. The commission also approved ownership changes at three dispensaries at the meeting Thursday. At Natural Relief Dispensary of Sherwood, the commission allowed for majority owner Brian Faught and Triple JJJ Investments LLC to reduce their ownership to allow Coda Capital LLC and Grayson Faught to join the ownership. Brian Faught will continue to hold the largest share at 50%. At Custom Cannabis of Alexander, the commission allowed for Reza Shahim, a spine surgeon at Arkansas Surgical Hospital, to join the ownership. Shahim’s wife, Lisa, reduced her ownership from 5% to 3% and Reza Shahim took on a 2% stake in the company. Zada Adametz continues to own the largest share in the company at 36%. At Delta Cannabis Company of West Memphis, majority owner Brian Falls purchased the full ownership stake of Larry Johnson, who owned 28.27% of the company. After the transaction, Falls owns 89.53% of the business. The commission’s next meeting will be at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 6. The commission will also hold a public hearing at that time on proposed rule changes regarding the review process for commission decisions, according to commission spokesman Scott Hardin. The proposed rule changes can be found below: 2022_MMC_LicensureProposedRules
