Family Council announces 64 (actually 63) House Republicans oppose Issue 4 October 25, 2022 By Griffin Coop A group opposed to legalizing recreational marijuana in Arkansas said Monday that 64 Republicans in the state House and all 27 Republicans in the state Senate are opposed to Issue 4. The announcement from Family Council Action Committee, an opposition group led by social conservative Jerry Cox, actually only listed 63 House Republicans, since the list included Rep. Dwight Tosh of Jonesboro twice. Family Council Action Committee tweeted the list of House members and a statement from the group: On Monday, October 24th, a coalition of 64 legislators from the Arkansas House of Representatives issued a statement opposing Issue 4, the amendment to legalize marijuana in Arkansas. Les Warren of Hot Springs All 27 Republicans in the state Senate are opposed to the measure, according to a report in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Tuesday.
